Alpaca

     Carrell Farms has been raising alpacas since 1991.  Our alpacas are 100% grass fed on pastures free of chemicals and GMOs.  They are born and raised in Georgia and are harvested at a USDA facility in South Carolina.  Great care is given to ensure these alpacas live a specie appropriate lifestyle and are harvested humanely.

      Alpaca meat has a very mild, sweet flavor.  It is high in protein, very lean, and lower in cholesterol than boneless, skinless chicken breast.  Alpaca meat cooks very quickly.  Best eaten at medium or below.
